Warranty Policy

At Shadow’s Edge Sabers, every hilt is crafted to endure. To give you confidence in your blade, we provide a 12-month limited warranty on all new sabers purchased directly from Shadow’s Edge Sabers.
This warranty covers manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship under normal use.
1. Warranty Coverage
For 12 months from the date of delivery, your saber is protected against verified manufacturer defects, including:
• Faults in the hilt structure caused by manufacturing defects
• Non-functional soundboards, switches, or LED components due to manufacturer fault
• Internal wiring defects not caused by external damage
• Electronics that fail under normal operating conditions
If a manufacturing defect is confirmed within the warranty period, Shadow’s Edge Sabers will repair or replace the defective component at our discretion.
2. What Is Not Covered
This warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse, accidents, or normal wear, including but not limited to:
• Heavy dueling or combat beyond light-to-moderate use
• Blade strikes against hard surfaces or objects
• Cosmetic scratches, dents, or wear from use, display, or cosplay
• Damage caused by improper charging (⚠️ chargers above 5V 1A)
• Reverse battery polarity or incorrect battery installation
• Use of non-approved batteries or charging equipment
• Water or liquid damage
• Board modifications, firmware changes, or SD card alterations
• Opening, modifying, or tampering with internal electronics
• Damage caused by third-party repair attempts
Normal wear to batteries, blades, and removable components is not covered under warranty.
3. Warranty Eligibility
This warranty applies only to:
• The original purchaser
• Products purchased directly from Shadow’s Edge Sabers
The warranty does not apply to:
• Second-hand purchases
• Sabers purchased through unauthorised sellers
• Items obtained through private resale
4. How to Make a Warranty Claim

Please include:
• Your order number or proof of purchase
• Clear photos or video showing the issue
• A short description of the fault
Do not return your saber without authorisation. Unauthorised returns will not be accepted.
5. Inspection and Diagnosis
All warranty claims are subject to inspection and verification.
If the issue is determined to be caused by misuse or conditions outside warranty coverage, the claim may be declined.
Where possible, we may still offer paid repair options.
6. Repairs and Replacement
If a claim is approved, Shadow’s Edge Sabers will determine the most appropriate solution, which may include:
• Repair of the defective component
• Replacement of internal electronics or saber core
• Replacement of the entire saber if repair is not feasible
Replacement components may be new or refurbished equivalents.
Refunds are not issued under warranty claims.
7. Shipping for Warranty Claims
Customers may be responsible for return shipping costs when sending items for inspection or repair.
Shadow’s Edge Sabers is not responsible for items lost during return transit, and all warranty returns must be sent using tracked shipping.
We recommend retaining proof of postage.
8. Warranty Limitations
This warranty is limited to the repair or replacement of defective components only.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Shadow’s Edge Sabers shall not be liable for incidental, indirect, or consequential damages, including loss resulting from misuse of the product.
Nothing in this policy excludes liability where such exclusion is prohibited by applicable consumer law.
9. Product Use Responsibility
Lightsabers sold by Shadow’s Edge Sabers are collector prop replicas intended for display, cosplay, and light-to-moderate dueling.
Customers are responsible for safe and responsible use of their product.
Damage resulting from improper use is not covered under warranty.
